• Chain necklace is comprised of intersecting and doubled round links, each link deeply grooved
• Suspending a large oval locket ornately decorated by twisted rope motif and gold beading
• Opens on a hinge to reveal two recessed areas, one side covered by removable glass
• Chain completes as a spring ring clasp and tested as 14 karat gold
• Locket tested as 18 karat gold
• Circa: 1870s
